The Foundation for Delaware County is a new community foundation dedicated to building a healthy community and encouraging philanthropy in Delaware County. Its grantmaking focuses on:
• Improving the health and development of children and youth, particularly those who live in poverty
• Supporting men and women with cancer
• Helping seniors age in place
• Inspiring teens to succeed.
Every member of our Twistnshout team played a role in helping to launch the foundation. We are grateful to Frances Sheehan, president of the foundation, for her support of our work:
“When we launched a new community foundation in a suburban county outside of Philadelphia in early 2017, we needed several services that Amy Pollack and her team at Twistnshout were able to provide. Everything was done in a professional, creative, and timely fashion.
Amy prepared all logo, stationery and collateral materials under our original name (Crozer-Keystone Community Foundation). Her team set up our website including all design, writing and search engine optimization. They also designed and executed a regular e-newsletter.
The team then conducted a thorough communications study to help us frame our communications strategy. This included the skillful development of focus group and survey questions, conducting the focus groups, analyzing the results, and preparing a report to guide the foundation forward. Additionally, they performed a communications audit and made recommendations about future communications deliverables and processes.
When we changed our name in late 2017, Amy prepared all new branding materials, style guides, and led her team through the complete redesign of our website. Twistnshout is now working closely with us to implement the communications plan that they also developed.
We work with Amy for her beautiful design sensibilities and creativity, but she brings so much more to the table – not just because of the website, writing, photography, and communications expertise of her team – but because of her understanding of communications strategy. She gets how important it is to declutter and focus her client’s customers on the core message in this frequently changing world. Time and again, her affinity for the nonprofit and social change communities leads her to see the most persuasive message we should be communicating before we fully understand it internally.”
