This year is the 25th annual “5 x 7 Show,” a fundraiser for Byrdcliffe, the oldest operating arts and crafts colony in the United States. Byrdcliffe is located in Woodstock, NY. Artists are invited to submit up to 2 pieces of art for the show. Every piece must measure 5 x 7. Works are submitted anonymously – no signatures. And every piece is priced at $150 with all proceeds going to Byrdcliffe.

This non-juried show gave me a wonderful opportunity and incentive to create. This mixed media collage, “Seeds of the Season” is based upon milkweed that grows profusely in my garden. It was a thrill to see it hanging at the show along with over 300 submissions!
