Fundraiser Invitation:
Surrey's Premier English Garden Party
I was happy to design the save the date card and invitation to Surrey’s Premier English Garden Party. These pieces set the tone for this beautiful outdoor fundraiser. Summer flowers and stone pillars flank an open iron garden gate. Wisteria drapes over the edges of the paper. The palette is lavender, green and pink. Surrey’s talented team followed through on the English garden theme with tastefully chosen decor. I’d say it was country elegance. Local florists competed to win “Best of the Blooms,” for which I designed a certificate. Delicious food was served beneath an enormous white tent. And the weather, which had teased us all day, turned out to be perfect.
Overall, this kind of event really builds community. It makes everyone feel like they are part of something. And that “something” is an organization that provides much needed services to the area’s seniors. When Jill Whitcomb, President and CEO, spoke, all of the guests stopped to listen.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with Surrey staff, including Jill Whitcomb, Kris Levis, Dana Heiman and Maureen McKnight. We made a great team!
